Congratulations to our own Eric Huffman and Katie Johannigman for earning Acclaim Award nominations for their work on Out of This World, the 2011 offering of CCM’s Musicals Redux series, which resurrects forgotten theatre gems. The show also earned an overall recommendation from Acclaim Award panelists.
This year’s annual Musicals Redux series – which carries out CCM Musical Theatre’s mission to resurrect gems from the storehouse of forgotten American musical theatre – will present a stylish comic gem from the master, Cole Porter. On May 12-14, CCM will present Out of This World in the Cohen Family Studio Theater. Admission is free, but reservations are required. With winter finally loosening it’s icy grip on Cincinnati, we are happy to announce our full spring schedule of major events. CCM presents nearly 1,000 public events throughout the year and offers free admission to many of its performances. All events listed take place on the CCM campus and are free unless otherwise indicated. CCM is pleased to announce details for the 2010-11 CCM Studio Series of opera, musical theatre and drama. This year’s Studio Series features seven productions in CCM’s intimate and versatile “black box” space, the Cohen Family Studio Theater, along with a special Studio Series opera produced in Patricia Corbett Theater and a festival of new dramatic works that will utilize spaces throughout CCM Village.
The Studio Series runs from Oct. 21, 2010 through May 29, 2011. All Studio Series events held in CCM’s Cohen Family Studio Theater are free and open to the general public, although reservations are required.
