CCM's new Director of Wind Studies, Glenn D. Price

CCM ushers in a new school year with a thrilling lineup of fall Winds Series events and a new Director of Wind Studies, Glenn D. Price. Price comes to CCM from the University of Calgary, where he conducted the University of Calgary Wind Ensemble, and is also an internationally acclaimed conductor, appearing with wind orchestras and festivals around the world.

Under Price’s direction, CCM’s Wind Symphony and Chamber Players will perform a vast array of stirring pieces of the Winds repertoire, including memorable jazz numbers, motifs encompassing the musical worlds of Britain and France and the unmistakable sounds of Stravinsky.

The CCM Jazz Ensemble and CCM Philharmonia have designed a collaborative evening featuring the complex and sultry music of Brazil, featuring special guest and three-time Latin Grammy Award-nominee Jovino Santos Neto. These seductive sounds can be heard in concert on Sunday, April 10 at 7 p.m. in CCM’s Corbett Auditorium.

With winter finally loosening it’s icy grip on Cincinnati, we are happy to announce our full spring schedule of major events. CCM presents nearly 1,000 public events throughout the year and offers free admission to many of its performances. All events listed take place on the CCM campus and are free unless otherwise indicated.
