CCM is proud to announce our full 2010-11 Mainstage Season! Join us as our young artists light up the night sky with the brilliance and vibrancy that is uniquely CCM.
The 2010-2011 Mainstage Season will sweep you away – from Argentina to small town America, from riotous farce to the deepest of human emotions and across a landscape of truly great works in musical theatre, drama and opera. With sensational Tony Award-winning musical theatre hits, comedy and pathos from the American master playwright Thornton Wilder and opera in all of its glory, each title will be brought to life by the brightest and freshest young talent in Cincinnati. Here is a first look at what next season has to offer:
Based on the classic novel by Nobel Prize-winning author John Steinbeck, Of Mice and Men tells the story of George and Lennie, two displaced farm hands during the Great Depression. Chasing the American dream to someday own their own stake of land, the pair travels across the California countryside in search of work. When their journey leads them into trouble, one friend must make a tragic choice to save the other. Sung in English with supertitles. Opening night will feature special pre- and post-performance talks by Maestro Carlisle Floyd.
