CCM’s Kate Garber, Mia Gentile and Adam Moser Named Acclaim Awards Rising Stars

Congratulations to our own Kate Garber, Mia Gentile and Adam Moser for being recognized as three of this year’s Acclaim Awards Rising Stars!

The Acclaim Awards, an initiative of Enquirer Media, has named six 2011 Rising Stars, artists and technicians under the age of 25 who have made extraordinary contributions to the local theatre scene. Each Rising Star will receive a $1,000 grant towards future endeavors, and all will be applauded at the annual Acclaim Awards celebration at 7 p.m. on May 23 at The Carnegie, 1028 Scott Blvd., Covington. CCM Drama Announces 2011 Dolly Award & Cohen Chair Special Scholarship Recipients

Last night, CCM’s Department of Drama presented its 9th annual Dolly Awards, which honor students for outstanding achievement throughout the year . Select students were recognized for their work in recent department productions as well as service and achievement, aesthetic leadership and sustained excellence throughout one’s CCM career.

The 2011 TRANSMIGRATION Festival’s New Works

Running Feb. 17 – 19, this year’s TRANSMIGRATION festival will feature The Casablanca Complex by Project: Theatre Project, Plugged In by As Seen on TV, The Network by The Conscious Collective, KBLB – The Bloob by Pan-Atlantic Theatre Ensemble, In Limbic by Scarlet Fever Productions and Labeled by Society.

Audience members will have the opportunity to customize their theater-going experience by choosing to watch up to four different productions, which are performed simultaneously and in non-traditional spaces throughout CCM’s Corbett Center for the Performing Arts.
