Beethoven Festival Continues With Free Concert This Sunday

CCM’s Beethoven Festival continues with a FREE afternoon of chamber music beginning at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16!

CCM Philharmonia music director and conductor Mark Gibson, piano, will be joined by Joseph Bucci, oboe; Adam Butalewicz, clarinet; Randy Denler, bassoon; Corey Tarbell, horn; Yabing Tan, violin; and Nathaniel Chaikin, cello for this afternoon concert in UC’s Robert J. Werner Recital Hall.

CCM Celebrates the Music of Ludwig van Beethoven

The CCM Philharmonia and Concert Orchestras open their seasons with a festival celebrating the legacy of Ludwig van Beethoven. Running from Sept. 14 through Oct. 12, the Beethoven Festival showcases the talents of CCM students and faculty in a concert series featuring a variety of the composer’s works, including six of his nine symphonies, two overtures, two concertos and a variety of chamber music.

CCM Announces Fall 2012 Calendar of Major Events

CCM is delighted to announce its fall schedule of performances. The largest single source of performing arts events in the state of Ohio, CCM presents more than 100 public performances this fall, ranging from faculty and guest artist concerts to fully supported opera, drama and musical theatre productions.

This fall’s schedule includes a Beethoven Festival (Sept. 14 – Oct. 12), a Kurt Weill Festival (Oct. 19 – March 10) and a Cage Centennial Celebration (Nov. 5 – Nov. 29). CCM also collaborates with Cincinnati Opera on public workshop performances of two new American operas (Oct. 27 – 28 and Dec. 4 – 5) and presents a pair of concerts in conjunction with the Constella Festival of Music and Fine Arts (Oct. 10 and Oct. 28).
