Accent11 is a chamber and new music festival in which participants perform alongside outstanding artist-faculty in beautiful CCM Village at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Held June 12-18, this one-week intensive program allows students to receive undergraduate or graduate credit while participating in performance opportunities, taking master classes and working with amazing artists.
The CCM Jazz Ensemble and CCM Philharmonia have designed a collaborative evening featuring the complex and sultry music of Brazil, featuring special guest and three-time Latin Grammy Award-nominee Jovino Santos Neto. These seductive sounds can be heard in concert on Sunday, April 10 at 7 p.m. in CCM’s Corbett Auditorium.
CCM Opera students are preparing to tackle the uproarious comedy of Offenbach’s rarely performed operetta, The Island of Tulipatan, which runs March 4-6 in CCM’s Cohen Family Studio Theater. A part of CCM’s Studio Opera Series, the performance is conducted by Chaowen Ting and directed by Jennifer Williams. Admission to The Island of Tulipatan is free, but reservations are required.
