Tis the season for reflection and end of the year list making. The editors for UC’s independent student newspaper The News Record recently published their “Top 10 Moments in Entertainment for 2010” and CCM made a strong showing on the list.

Congratulations to recent CCM Electronic Media Division graduates Dustin Chow and Steven Shaefer on their 2010 National Student Emmy Award-win. Chow and Shaefer won the Emmy for “Music-Best Use” for their experimental musical montage, “Today,” featuring an original song composed by Shaefer and performed by the band Where They Landed, of which both Shaefer and Chow are members. “Today” was also a nominee in the “Music-Composition” category.
