CCM is now accepting applications for an innovative new bachelor of music degree in Commercial Music Production (CMP) that will be offered beginning fall semester 2012. This unique program combines core training in music theory, composition, arranging and musicianship with recording studio techniques, commercial music, songwriting, film scoring and media technologies.
The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) presents nearly 1,000 public events throughout the year and offers free admission to many of its performances. Unless otherwise indicated, all events listed here take place on the CCM campus and are free. CCM is delighted to announce its winter schedule of major performances. Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 4, CCM will present over 50 events, ranging from faculty and guest artist concerts to fully supported theatre productions.
‘Tis the season for TV holiday programming – movies that can make us laugh and weep. There are the classics that take us back to our childhood as well as the comedies that put the “fun” in dysfunctional families.

CCM’s fall Mainstage production of the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Oklahoma! has earned four awards from the League of Cincinnati Theatres (LCT). Diana Lala, the show’s choreographer, as well as three student performers — John Riddle, Julia Johanos and Eric Huffman — were recognized for their contributions to the show.
Students from CCM’s Musical Theatre program present an evening of holiday music and cheer on Friday, Dec. 2 at the second annual Carol for a Cause.
Sponsored by CCM Tribunal, all proceeds from this festive concert will be donated to the Women Helping Women crisis center, an organization in Cincinnati devoted to helping survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking.
The performance begins at 7 p.m. in room 300 of the Dieterle Vocal Arts Center in CCM Village. Tickets are $3 at the door.
