Professors of piano Elisabeth and Eugene Pridonoff, also known as the Pridonoff Duo, will open CCM’s 2010-11 Steinway Hall Series of Concerts on Thursday, Oct. 28. The concert is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at Steinway Hall, 109 West 57th Street in New York City. The CCM Steinway Hall Series is open to the general public, but seating is limited. The next installment of this concert series will occur on Thursday, Dec. 9 and will feature CCM faculty member, and Steinway Artist, Sandra Rivers. The fall 2010 Jazz Series celebrates everything from the Big Band standards of Duke Ellington and Count Basie to the fresh and hot compositions of CCM students and faculty. As the College-Conservatory of Music Jazz Studies program ushers in the 2010-11 season, it also warmly welcomes a new Director of Jazz Studies, Scott Belck.
