CCM Professor of Collaborative Piano Sandra Rivers coaches a student.

CCM’s Master of Music in Collaborative Piano prepares students for future doctoral studies, as well as careers in national and international opera companies and summer festivals. Students benefit from the collaborative environment at CCM, and are exposed to outstanding teaching in the vocal, operatic and instrumental areas of the college.

Applications are still open to join CCM’s Fall 2018 class. Incoming students have opportunities to finance their education with Graduate Assistantships and special scholarship funding.

CCM Collaborative Piano majors study with active and internationally recognized faculty members Kenneth Griffiths, Donna Loewy and Sandra Rivers, who offer expertise in vastly different repertoires.

Students pursue their education in CCM’s state-of-the art facilities, which include practice rooms and top-notch performance spaces. An all-Steinway school, CCM students have access to 200 pianos, eight harpsichords, a fortepiano, a clavichord and seven pipe organs.

Beyond the Classroom
Located in the heart of Cincinnati, CCM’s urban campus is perfectly positioned to connect students with professional experiences. Cincinnati’s rich artistic landscape includes the world-class Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Opera, Cincinnati Ballet, Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra and Chamber Music Cincinnati. Visiting artists are often invited to give master classes at CCM; recent guests include Emanuel Ax, Barry Douglas, Leon Fleisher, Gary Graffman and Claude Frank.
