Due to inclement weather the University of Cincinnati is closed all day on Saturday 1/25/14.  This announcement supersedes the previously announced 10AM start. Classes are canceled, and all offices — with the exception of those noted in the UC emergency closing policy (University Rule 30-16-01) — will be closed. This announcement includes all campuses of the university.

This closure does mean that tonight’s performance by the Ariel Quartet will be postponed. Once we have a new date identified, we will let you know!

The following units never close under any circumstances: College of Medicine, Hoxworth Blood Center, University Police, Office of Residence Life/Housing units, utility plants, emergency maintenance operations, any research unit where the integrity of the research must be preserved, and service units that routinely operate on a seven day per week, twenty-four hour per day service schedule.

University Hospital, UC Health, and related patient care units are not affected by this notice. Please visit http://www.UCHealth.com for information about University of Cincinnati Physiciansoffices and UC Health hospitals.

You can check the status of UC on our home page at www.uc.edu, follow us on Twitter atUCEmergency, or call the status line at (513) 556-3333.  If you have subscribed to emergency alerts by text message, we will also send you a text when there is a closing.
