CCM student Ellie Jameson was also recognized as a LCT Rising Star Award Winner during the ceremony for her work in CCM’s recent productions of The Time of Your Life, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Red Light Winter, Arcadia and The Matchmaker, amongst others.

Rick Pender’s season roundup for CityBeat also singled out a CCM production on May 21, with Pender observing, “my vote for the season’s best musical would have gone to Parade, Jason Robert Brown’s powerful retelling of a tragic moment of prejudice and injustice in American history, produced using CCM’s musical theater resources at the Carnegie, directed by Ed Cohen and Dee Anne Bryll.”

Finally, Jackie Demaline published her own season-in-review for the Cincinnati Enquirer on Friday, May 24, naming CCM’s production of the American opera Street Scene her Best of Show for 2012-13!

CCM faculty members Aubrey Berg, Steven Goldstein and Robin Guarino all received nods for Best Direction and Demaline’s Most Valuable Players for the season included:

  • CCM Opera and Cincinnati Opera for collaborating on 2012’s Opera Fusion New Works residencies “Champion” and “Morning Star.”
  • CCM faculty member Stephen Goers, who Demaline describes as “this season’s go-to music director [who] just kept delivering across a range of styles.”

CCM also fared well in Demaline’s Performing Awards this season. For a complete list, click here. Congratulations to one and all!
