CCM provides the perfect cure for your winter doldrums this month with the Steel Drum Band’s annual performance. UC’s Corbett Auditorium will be filled with lively rhythms as the Steel Drum Band transports audience members to the island of Trinidad for one magical evening on Saturday, Jan. 12. Russell Burge directs.

“The group focuses on the traditional music of Trinidad because it gives the students a taste of that style and discipline, which is completely different from their other experiences at CCM,” says Burge. “People just gravitate toward the sound of steel drums. The music is upbeat and happy.”
With a wide mix of musical styles and dynamic performance, the CCM Steel Drum Band concert will delight audiences of all ages.

Tickets to CCM’s annual Steel Drum Band performance are $12 for general admission, $6 for non-UC students and FREE for UC students with valid ID.
