The Preparatory Department of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM Prep) is proud to announce its 2012-13 programming. CCM Prep provides students of all ages with individual lessons and classes in music, dance and theatre arts.
CCM Prep also provides local communities with performances, workshops and educational opportunities.
Well known for its Suzuki and Musikgarten classes, and for providing young people with individual lessons and classes on piano, string and wind instruments, CCM Prep also has a wide range of music, dance and theatre arts opportunities for all ages (including adults), from beginners to experienced performers.

Students with performing arts experience can choose from among a variety of programs, some of which require an audition. The CCM Prep website can help you find the program that is right for you and also provides audition details. New this year is a “Junior Musical Theatre” program for younger students, an advanced styles of acting class for high schoolers and musical theatre classes at UC Blue Ash. A new jazz ensemble will be offered on Sundays at CCM. Jazz Explosion and the High School Jazz Orchestras will meet at Lakota East High School.
With several locations, numerous educational opportunities, a highly qualified staff and the distinction of being the only community arts school in the region with triple accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Music, Theater and Dance, CCM Prep is a great choice for your performing-arts experience. Many CCM Prep students continue their arts training at prestigious institutions such as CCM, Oberlin, Northwestern, University of Michigan and the Berklee College of Music. Many of our faculty members perform in ensembles and organizations throughout the city.
