The Preparatory Department of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music presents its spring musical production of Robert and Willie Reale’s A Year with Frog and Toad on March 17 and 18 in Patricia Corbett Theater.

A cast of 40 talented Prep students will bring to life the beloved characters of Arnold Lobel’s popular children’s book in a production that the entire family can enjoy!

A Year with Frog and Toad follows the seasonal woodland adventures of the worrywart Toad, the cheerful Frog and their forest friends. Along the way, they plant gardens, swim, rake leaves and go sledding while learning important life lessons about friendship and about celebrating the attributes that make each one of them different and unique.

This charming show was first produced by the Children’s Theater Company of Minneapolis, followed by a run off-Broadway. The production later moved to Broadway where it garnered three Tony Award nominations in 2003 for best musical, best book of a musical and best score.
