Cincinnati audiences will get a sneak peak of an original showcase created by the CCM Musical Theatre 2011 graduating class during the annual Musical Theatre Showcase, which runs from March 31 (Friends of CCM benefit performance)-April 2 in the Patricia Corbett Theater. The March 31 Friends of CCM benefit starts at 7 p.m. and features a post-performance celebration and dinner by the bite. The April 1-2 performances take place at 8 p.m. and are free, but reservations are required. Learn more after the jump.
Each year, CCM’s musical theatre seniors collaborate under the supervision of department chair Aubrey Berg to create an original showcase of their singing, dancing and acting talents for New York City casting directors and agents. The New York showcase is a valuable start for these young performers, providing them with the opportunity to be seen by many of the leading agents, casting directors and managers in the business.
This year’s performance is the 19th edition of the CCM “Not Famous Yet” showcase. The show takes the format of a Broadway audition, with the actors showcasing their solo and ensemble skills through song and dance numbers.
