March will be filled with a series of phenomenal, talent-filled events thanks to CCM Prep. From dazzling musicals to chamber music recitals, the students of CCM’s Preparatory Department present something for everyone this month!

The must-see musical performance of the spring is The Last Dragon of Camelot, running March 18-20 in Patricia Corbett Theater on the University of Cincinnati campus. The musical will showcase a cast of 55 superbly talented CCM Prep middle school students. Audiences will experience incredible costumes and breathtaking set design in this incredible Renaissance fantasy, featuring an evil dragon, a king, knights and one intelligent, strong and courageous woman. Originally produced in Chicago at the Emerald City Theatre and masterfully adapted for CCM Prep students by Alyn Cardarelli and Steve Goers, The Last Dragon of Camelot is a musical for all ages! For more information or to purchase tickets to either daytime or evening performances, please contact 513-556-4183.

Another performance to relish is that of the superbly talented string musicians who have been chosen to liven up the stage as part of the Accent Chamber Recital under the direction of Dorotea Vismara on Saturday evening, March 5 at 6:30 P.M. in CCM’s Watson Hall. Additionally, the Cincinnati Youth Wind Ensemble and Junior Cincinnati Youth Wind Ensemble will perform Monday evening March 14 at 7:00 P.M. at the Patricia Corbett Theater. The CCM Preparatory Brass Choir will take the stage Saturday March 19 at 1:00 P.M. in Werner Recital Hall. There is no charge for admission to these entertaining performances. Just come, relax and enjoy!

The ArtsWave Sampler Weekend is a fabulous way to take advantage of and become introduced to many of the fine artistic programs that are offered around the city of Cincinnati, all at no charge to you. On Saturday, March 26 at 3:00 P.M. in the Cincinnati Art Museum, we invite all to be entertained again by the CCM Preparatory theatre arts division as it performs selections from the Renaissance fantasy The Last Dragon of Camelot, showcasing outstanding talent in an incredibly beautiful setting.

We at CCM Prep are so proud of what our students have been able to accomplish with the tutorial and guidance of our highly qualified and talented staff and the support of the parents. For more information about any of the many fine programs that are offered by the CCM Preparatory Department, please contact 513-556-2595 or check out our website at ccm.uc.edu/prep.
