On Thursday, Dec. 2, The Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center in Covington, Kentucky welcomes CCM Musical Theatre students Katie Johannigman and Joe Moeller to the stage as part of an evening of musical theatre mirth. The third performance of the 2010-11 Carnegie in Concert series, “Broadway Holidays” is a fun-filled, cabaret-style program directed and choreographed by Patti James with musical direction by Steve Goers.
“Broadway Holidays” pairs well-known holiday season favorites with unique arrangements of rarely performed pieces, all with the style, moves and intimacy of a New York cabaret. James and Goers lead Johannigman and Moeller – part of a quartet of the premier young talent from the musical theatre classes of CCM, NKU and Wright State University – through a merry program of seasonal selections from the Broadway and Great American Songbooks.
The concert is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm in The Carnegie’s Otto M . Budig Theatre. Tickets are $16 – $19 ad are available at The Carnegie Box Office (859-957-1940) or online at www.thecarnegie.com.
