CCM’s Studio Series of Operas, Musicals and Dramas continues November 4-6 with Anton Chekhov’s influential play, Three Sisters. The decay of the privileged class in Russia and the search for meaning in the modern world is the subject of this Diane Kvapil directed drama.

Olga, Masha and Irina are refined and cultured young women who were raised in urban Moscow but have been living in a small, colorless Russian provincial town for eleven years. With their father dead, their hopes lie heavily in their anticipated return to Moscow, while the painful monotony of day-to-day living exacts its toll.
